KO at Berlin Fashion Film Festival

On June 5, 2015, travel photographer extraordinaire EyeRanitiand I travelled to Berlin to attend theBerlin Fashion Film Festival. We watched over 70 Fashion Films, listened to panel discussions about NOWNESS by Charlotte LaSalle who discussed the importance of short films in building brand image. Margo Mars (executive producer and head of production for PRETTYBIRD) discussed the challenges and opportunities of engaging with customers using the latest cutting-edge technologies for creative communication. Creative Director from MILL+ Carl Addy discussed how visual effects and design can be used to enhance the experience within fashion films, shows and magazines. There was a panel discussion with Kathryn Ferguson (Fashion Film Research Fellow and Selfridges Resident Film Director), Stephen Whelan (Whitelodge), Alexandra Bondi and Sebastian Hennecke (i-D Germany). The panel was mediated by Heiko Kunzman (Journalist ZDF, MDR, W&V). The panel discussion was about the future of fashion film, how it has been developed and the importance of story telling using new technology in innovative ways.
