KO @ Tegan and Sara

Thursday night I had a pleasure of seeing Tegan & Sara play live at Mac Hall Ball Room at the University of Calgary with my Friend Chris. If you have not heard their new album Heartthrob, you’re missing out. Every track on the album is amazing, which is so rare these days. If you saw the Beyoncé doc on HBO last week Life is But a Dream, you heard her say:

“People don’t make albums anymore”… “They don’t make albums anymore”… “They just try to sell a bunch of lil quick singles”

She talked about how most recording artists burn out these day from just releasing a bunch of singles but don’t go through the process of writing and recording an album. Well, Tegan & Sara did, they are really original and the entire album hits a sweet spot.
Meeting Tegan & Sara and hearing more about what went into this album, and their crazy tour schedule made me really appreciate how much they love what they do, and that just makes me love the album so much more!
