Fairmont Royal Champagne Afternoon Tea

Time for tea…or champagne (whichever you fancy). It was a royal occasion to join the team at the Fairmont Palliser and Chef Darren McGrady (former chef to Queen Elizabeth II, Diana Princess of Wales and Princes William & Harry) for A ROYAL CHAMPAGNE AFTERNOON TEA.

From October until the end of November you have once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience Royal Champagne Afternoon Tea. Taste the favorite sandwiches, scones and cakes the royal family and their dignitaries dine on in Buckingham Palace, but in beautiful Fairmont properties in Canada!!!

My favorites were the Sage Derby and tomato sandwich, the warm scones with clotted cream with fraise des boos compote, and the infamous chocolate birthday cake traditionally served to the queen on her birthday.

The Royal Champagne Afternoon Tea will be available atFairmont Empress (Victoria), Fairmont Palliser (Calgary), Fairmont Banff Springs, Château Laurier (Ottawa) and Fairmont Royal York (Toronto) until the end of November.

Smoked Scottish salmon gravedlax with suèdoise sauce
