SUNO RTW SS2015

Max Osterweis and Erin Beatty have always relied heavily on their Kenyan prints from the roots of SUNO’s creation. Season after season, the print comes out front and centre and grabs your attention. Winner of the Winner of the CFDA Swarovski Award for Womenswear in 2013, we have comes to expect the bold oversized figure cuts and unique stylized use of the heavy prints.
Suno’s 2015 Spring Ready-to-Wear is nice sequel to the previous Spring 2014 RTW collection, we saw a refreshing blend of khaki and earthy tones, with flashes of stark white on the runway with a revival a 90’s throwback floral print and marni-esque contrasty florals.
What was new to this collection was ruffles on boxy oversized edges. Plaid, lots of pastel plaid with accents of Red and neon tangerine . Small flowered florals contrasting the modernist geometric patterns in long bohemian dresses.

This collection moved away from the roots of African patterns, to more modern minimalist european lines and Piet Mondrian art inspired patterns. Conservative, modern feminism. Bold in print but soft in shape, and exaggerate lines covering the female form, creating a new way to see the modern woman: Fashion First.

Wedge modernized sandals on exposed ankles stood out on the fresh faced slicked hair models.
